Gresham Smith Selected to Provide Engineering Services to ARPA-Funded Wastewater Projects in Collierville, Tennessee

Gresham Smith is excited to announce that the firm has been selected to provide engineering, technical, and support services for an ARPA-funded sanitary sewer assessment and rehabilitation project for the Town of Collierville, Tennessee. The project is funded by an American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) grant administered by the State of Tennessee.

The scope of the project includes assistance with the flow monitoring study, development of a sewer assessment work plan, GIS database improvements, and coordination of the sewer system evaluation survey (SSES) activities. Additionally, Gresham Smith will create a rehabilitation plan, prepare design, permit and bid documents, and provide construction phase services.

“A robust and fully functioning sewer system is critical to the long-term health of any community,” said Senior Water + Environment Engineer Justin Avent, P.E. “Prioritizing these rehabilitation projects based on criticality will ensure that the Town will repair the sewer assets in a systematic manner and get the most value for each dollar spent. Gresham Smith is proud to partner with the Town of Collierville on this important project.”

The project is anticipated to be completed by the fall of 2026.
