Gresham Smith Names NaKeeta Batson Consultancy Services Leader  

Industry Veteran Brings Visionary Leadership to Transportation Market

Gresham Smith is pleased to announce that NaKeeta Batson has been named Consultancy Services Leader within the firm’s Transportation market. In this role, Batson will lead the growth and strategic direction of consultancy services market wide, focusing on strengthening client partnerships, expanding service offerings, and fostering leadership development.  

Batson brings extensive experience from her previous role as the firm’s Deputy Program Manager on the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) Program Management team, where she built a strong reputation for relationship management, risk evaluation and providing critical client advisory services. She will leverage this expertise to strengthen Gresham Smith’s ability to help clients navigate complexity, enhance project and program delivery, and implement strategic solutions that create measurable value and lasting impact. Through this leadership, she will continue to advance the firm’s consultancy services platform, expand our reach across key markets, and deepen Gresham Smith’s role as a trusted partner in solving our clients’ most critical challenges. 

Since joining Gresham Smith in 2019, Batson has been instrumental in positioning the Transportation market as a trusted strategic partner to clients, emphasizing service expansion, sustainable growth and leadership cultivation. She is dedicated to creating opportunities that empower emerging leaders and broaden career pathways as the firm continues to grow. Batson will collaborate closely with former Consultancy Services Leader Jeremy Busby, who now serves as the Georgia State Transportation Leader.

Beyond her programmatic leadership, Batson is actively engaged with industry organizations such as the Conference of Minority Transportation Officials (COMTO) and the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE). She also contributes to initiatives like The Power of Girls, supporting the empowerment of tomorrow’s leaders. Batson attended Georgia State University.
